How Bombay Palace reinvented itself with minimum fuss.

“NOT ONLY DID THEY PROMISE A SOLUTION, THEY SAID IMPLEMENTATION WOULD BE SEAMLESS.”

Bombay Palace has traditionally combined high quality with a low profile, gaining an international reputation entirely through its ability to capture the flavours of Punjab to perfection. Founded in 1981, the London restaurant, located a stone’s throw from Marble Arch, was using a simple tilling system with two tills well into the new millennium. Over time, the inadequacies of the system became an impediment. It stored data for only 7 days. It could not distinguish between in-house, takeaway and delivery. Even for repeat customers, fresh data entry was required.

Peter D’Silva, Director, Bombay Palace, appreciated the need for change, but hesitated at the thought of the disruption to an established, running restaurant. After a competitive bidding process, Prologic First conducted in-depth analysis, customized the Touché POS system with their specific needs in mind, and installed it with the minimum of fuss. “I am very pleased,” says Peter. “The delivery module has enhanced user experience. The Guest Profiler helps us keep track of customers. We can now make business decisions based on the data we collect from Touché.”
